A long drive day today just a few short stops along the way.
just a couple of stops before lunch.
We had a stop at a cafe dedicated to s poet Steiner. here we tried out happy marraige cake. Vety nice it was too.
On the way back to the road we stopped at one of the many small lonely churches we’ve seen, They are so isolated we can’t work out where the population comes from,
We got to Holmavik, a small village famous for it’s Witchcraft Museum for lunch. The museum was based on a trend in the 1600s for accussing anyone you were jealous of, of witchcraft and getting them killed. It shows all the geneology of those accussing and being accused which might be a bit of tit for tat. In amogst that were some of the stries of rather horrible spells cast to make people rich. The kind of thing that makes you think ” Is it worth It?”.
Final stop today next to a hotel with a thermal pool! luxury!! We had a ggod soak in the hot tub before rucking up in our sleeping bag feeling very warm despite the temperature.
